Solutions to Save the Hawksbill Sea Turtle
Some possible solutions to saving the sea turtles are:
-protecting the hatching area of baby turtles so predators cannot consume eggs or baby turtles walking to the ocean
-using natural light walking on beaches, as artificial light such as flashlights can detour baby turtles from going to sea
-Humans should avoid the migration routes of these turtles if possible so turtles don't become exposed to human dangers.
-cut open the plastic that carries coca-cola, as these openings often get lodged around the outside of a turtles neck, or get caught on there legs
-dispose of garbage properly

Another big problem that puts these turtles in danger is fishing and human contact. Humans disrupt the way of life around these turtles. Despite their current protection under the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITIES), and many other national laws protecting them, the threat of hooks or fishing wire getting stuck in a turtle still lingers. Some major fishing companies use nets to trap fish, and turtles can get tangled, unfortunately, these fishing companies do not release the turtles from nets.
I purpose that fishing companies be required to let sea turtles as well as other marine life that shouldn't be in the net free. I also purpose that feeding and breeding grounds of Hawksbill sea turtles are not to be fished in. This will help to populate and expand future generations of sea turtles.

Progress Being Made:
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), has already started to work with fisheries in order to make "turtle proof" fish hooks, so as to reduce the amount of captured or injured sea turtles. The WWF is also running international competitions, called Smart Gear, to attract creative new ways to solve sea turtle capturing and advance the best of those ideas. Some winning designs have already helped to reduce the amounts of sea turtles caught in nets, and also to help turtles even avoid nets. The WWF also tracks sea turtles with satellites to make sure that fisheries and turtles will never have to encounter each other.
